Building a house is a big decision. That’s why we want to help you get started with the Excel home-building process.

Step 1: Research

The first step to getting the home of your dreams is knowing what you want. What style of house are you looking for? How many bedrooms and bathrooms do you want? What features would you like to have? Use this site to explore the options and floor plans we have available.

Step 2: Select a Builder

Your next step is to choose an independent Excel builder in your area. Your builder will work with you on all pricing and specifications and will also order your home—built to your specifications—from Excel Homes. Your builder is also responsible for all the site work, including the foundation, and will be there every step of the way to help you out with the construction process.

Step 3: Customize Your Design

After you select a builder, you can now begin working with them on your Excel Home design. This is where you match your desires and needs with the Excel floor plan that best suits it. Working with your Excel builder, you will revise the plan as much as necessary until you are satisfied with the design of your home.
